The Past Week

It's been awhile since I last posted.  Things have been busy now that the nice weather has arrived.  I've decided to post some pictures of my past week:

Been loving my mom's homemade granola she's been making, perfect with vanilla yogurt and fresh strawberries.

Took a little walk around Saugerties, making a pitstop at the beach to enjoy the Esopus Creek and sunshine.

Spent one of my days off at The Crossings in Colonie.  Went for a nice 2 mile run that morning there and then decided to go back later in the day to enjoy the warm weather and read the final book of The Hunger Games series, Mockingjay - what a great series!  Looking forward to seeing the movie very soon!

I'm not much of a cook, so the above photo I am very, VERY proud of myself for.  I got the recipe from recipe.com - it was a pretty easy dinner.  I usually only stick to chicken dishes because I find them easiest, however this was great!  I highly recommend the recipe.

Of course, had to balance the meal out with a yummy salad.

Golfing season is here!  Jesse bought himself some new clubs so we had to test them out at the driving range.  Looking forward to actually getting out on the golf courses soon.  :)

And finally, my friend Annie is expecting a baby boy next month.  She had her shower Sunday and it was a great time.  Congrats, Annie!!  :)

Overlook Mountain

Spring has arrived early here in NY and the weather is absolutely gorgeous!!  Last week I was able to go hiking with my sister Suzie and friend Katie.  We started on the Woodstock side of Overlook Mountain and climbed to the top.  There was a little snow still covering the trail down by the base, but as we increased in elevation the sun melted the majority of it.  We took a little break at the ruins of an old hotel that used to be active many years ago.  The top view overlooks the Hudson River and Ashokan Reservoir.

Go Green!

This is one of the first years I have not celebrated St. Patrick's Day because I have to spend the day working.  But for those of you that can celebrate... there are some freebies to help you decorate by clicking here!  :)  Thought these were fun and perfect for the occasion.

Live, Laugh, Love Project

The snow is still falling like crazy here in the capital district, so what better time to finish a project!  I started this about 2 weeks ago after I found some vintage denim fabric and frames at a local thrift store.  Below are some photos I took along the way... ending with the finished product.  Now, where to hang them in my apartment??  :)
