Yarn Heaven

So today I went the the local Jo-Ann Fabrics in Albany.  This was my first time in this store, and it is HUGE compared to any of the other Jo-Ann's I've been in.  The back of the store is yarn heaven... some people have shopping problems with make-up or shoes, I have a yarn shopping/buying problem.  I can't get enough of all the colors and textures to work with!

This photo is not from my yarn collection, however I wish I could add it to mine... I think I may steal this idea of having a vase filled just like this.  :)

Apple Pie

My first attempt at an apple pie (made special with love for Suzie) - the perfect fall season dessert... I have to say I was nervous to take on the challenge because I am no pro-baker that is for sure, however I definitely surprised myself with the outcome!  I even made my own crust.

All the ingredients ready to give it a go... flour, sugar, cinnamon, ground nutmeg, lemon juice, and of course...

the APPLES!

Got the recipe from Mom's best cookbook.

The finished product!  All excited to eat it all up!  Deeeelish!
