This is such an easy and inexpensive project. The supplies you need are:
1. Glass paint marker(s) - I used Decoart Black Glass Paint Marker from Michaels Craft Store which was about $4.00 (they come in a bunch of different colors)
2. White porcelain bowl(s) - I got them at The Christmas Tree Shop for $1.29/each
3. And the glass container was a used Glade candle holder
You can play around with a ton of different designs and patterns... I just happen to be in a tribal mood lately so I thought the geometrics with circles was a fun Aztec look!
Welcome, Louie, to our home! Jesse and I just got this little guy last night from the Town of Saugerties Animal Shelter. He is adjusting very well to his new surroundings. :)
Made these little pouches from a pattern I found here: see kate sew: basic zipper pouch. Very cute and easy to make, perfect for smaller scrap pieces of fabric! See kate sew has a lot of other great patterns and projects as well. Thanks for sharing, Kate!
Had a great hike today with two of my favorite girls, Jackie and Tiff! The colors of the leaves are really starting to change here in upstate NY, and the Kaaterskill Falls in Palenville is the perfect place to take in the beautiful sites with a hiking path that is a fairly short distance. I was able to get some great shots of the falls from the front and behind on the cliffs that surround them. I just love fall in NY!
Jesse and I took a mini-roadtrip down to The Outer Banks, NC last week. Left home around 2AM Sunday morning and came back Wednesday evening around 8PM. It was so worth the 20 hours worth of driving! The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and since it's the off-season right now, there were no crowded beaches or shopping.
Above is an Instagram photo I snapped on my iPhone while we were crossing over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
Some other photos from the trip:
Sunset on the sound side in Duck, NC the second night we were there.
Thank you to this beautiful family for inviting us!

Yesterday was a busy day of painting for Jesse and I. We are getting our first place together in town and we're lucky enough to have a good friend as a landlord too. We're able to paint and decorate however we feel... and me as an interior designer - you know I'm excited about that! No more plain white walled apartments for this girl!
The color for the master bedroom.
Jesse taping the ceilings in the kitchen.
Spare bedroom/office painted in a soft moss green.
The living room - lots of exposed brick in the place which I LOVE!
Master bedroom half painted in a taupe/gray color.
View from the living room into the 2 bedrooms.
We'll be finishing up the painting in the living room and bathroom later this week, and all the trimming and flooring should be done next week. :)
